make streets safer for
all who walk, cycle, play, drive, and ride.
Think about this - if kids were out playing all over your neighborhood, would it change the way you drive? Children need to be out and about the neighborhood playing, as they did in past generations. The key to safety is a relationship between motorists, kids at play, pedestrians, and bicyclists. Do we have the will to re-create neighborhood environments that foster these relationships, and at the same time promote healthy living along with safe driving, pedestrian, play, and cycling behaviors?
