Who Do You Love? Who Loves You? - Live Forward!

LIVE FORWARD!
Who do you love? Who loves you?
It's About Kids! It's About Safety!
It's About Caring! It's About Time!®

Dear Friends of Keep Kids Alive Drive 25,

I am taking on what some might consider the challenge of a lifetime – to train for and complete the Pikes Peak Ascent Trail Race in Colorado on August 16th of this year - for the 9th time. I will be doing this as a member of the Keep Kids Alive Drive 25 Live Forward! & Run to Remember team in honor and memory of loved ones who have died in traffic incidents. To date, the families of 84 loved ones have asked that we carry the names of their daughters, sons, brothers, sisters, moms, and dads on the back of our shirts as we trek 13,32 miles with a 7800 elevation gain to the summit of Pikes Peak, 14,115 feet above sea level.

To support our efforts we need at least 1,412 supporters to donate a minimum of $10.00or more if able to do so – to reach the 14,115 foot summit - $1 for each foot above sea level to the summit.  All donations are tax deductible. We look forward to writing at least 1,412 Thank You Notes in response to the generosity of each and every donor, including you!

Team at the Summit of Pikes Peak

Keep Kids Alive Drive 25  (KKAD25) exists for two purposes:

1.     To prevent deaths and injuries on all roadways through pro-active traffic safety initiatives in communities throughout the world – over 1,500 to date.
2.     To support families of loved ones who have died due to a traffic incident

One way KKAD25 supports families is through “Live Forward!” - to help bring good into the world in honor and memory of their loved ones.  This year, several of these families will join us in Colorado Springs to support our team, to meet each other, share stories, and make memories.

Why does the KKAD25 mission matter?

Every day in America, over 90 families receive an unexpected visit from law enforcement to inform them that a loved one has died in a traffic incident. This is 90+ too many. KKAD25 is the only organization of its kind that works both proactively to prevent these visits, while also supporting families who receive these visits. The need for services is ongoing, everyday, every week every month, every year. And we are here, ready and willing to respond.

Each of our team members is pledging to raise a certain amount of money to support the mission of KKAD25 as we take months to train to complete this grueling uphill (up-mountain) challenge. My personal goal is to recruit at least 500 donors to make tax-deductible donations totaling a minimum of $7,500.

You can donate in 1 of 2 ways:

1.     On-line at www.KeepKidsAliveDrive25.org - Click on Donate button. You can also learn more about the mission and work of KKAD25 on this site.
2.     Via a check sent directly to KKAD25 @ KKAD25, 12418 C Street, Omaha, NE 68144

We welcome inquiries about corporate sponsor/partnership as well. Please feel free to call or e-mail me with any questions.

Thanks for your support,

Safe travels,
